Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
CT & NY
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a psychedelic treatment modality in which ketamine lozenges are used as a complement to psychotherapy to help us:
Confront and reframe trauma by revisiting memories, releasing suppressed emotions, finding meaning and shifting perspectives.
Achieve symptom relief for depression, anxiety, PTSC, OCD and more.
Reclaim a sense of control, and empowerment.
Find forgiveness, compassion for self & others.
Find emotional release such as grieving losses, expressing anger, releasing fear or reconnecting with joy.
Rediscover safety, rebuild trust and relationships, feel secure in the body & overcome hypervigilance and connect with an inner place of calm.
Ketamine is a legal, safe and effective psychedelic medicine used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety and PTSD. Ketamine has rapidly-acting antidepressant and mood-enhancing effects, which can begin to take effect within 1-2 hrs. after treatment and last for up to 2 weeks. It works by blocking the brain’s NMDA receptors as well as by stimulating AMPA receptors, which are thought to help form new synaptic connections and boost neural circuits that regulate stress and mood. Ketamine has also been shown to enhance overall neuroplasticity for lasting symptom improvement. When done well (in the right setting, with the right mindset, support and integration), psychedelics have the ability to blow us out of our narrow mental stories, to broaden insight and our capacity to feel & heal.
Unlike talk therapy, treatment is usually completed in ~6 dosing sessions or less.
All individual clients can also access our OUR HOUSE low-fee ketamine groups.
